A fantastic and highly unusual large-scale decorative panel depicting a Scottish Highland warrior, constructed from individually coloured and textured Perspex sections in the style of a traditional leaded stained glass window.
The Highlander is depicted with sword and shield against a dramatic Scottish landscape, with rolling hills, blue skies and thistles incorporated into the foreground. The variety of colours, textures and swirling patterns within the Perspex give the piece remarkable depth, particularly when illuminated from behind.
Housed within a substantial mahogany frame, this is an impressive statement piece at approximately 2.2 metres high. It would make a superb feature in a bar, restaurant, hotel, commercial interior or large private home, and could look particularly striking installed in front of a window or with purpose-made backlighting.
A wonderfully eccentric piece of Scottish decorative salvage and certainly not something we're likely to find another of!
