A wonderfully decorative vintage ceramic wash basin featuring colourful hand-painted floral motifs and a green foliate border.
The basin has developed a beautiful overall crazing to the cream-coloured glaze, giving it plenty of character and an attractive aged appearance. Small flower sprays in blue, yellow and terracotta decorate the bowl, surrounded by a particularly charming green and yellow border.
Complete with its original three-hole overflow and waste fitting, the basin would make a fantastic feature in a traditional bathroom, cloakroom or characterful period interior.
No manufacturer's marks are visible, but we believe the basin dates from the early to mid 20th century.
