Antique Upholstered Armchairs – Victorian / Edwardian Style

A handsome matching pair of antique armchairs, dating from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period. Each chair features a curved tub-shaped back with sweeping integrated arms, supported by an elegantly carved hardwood frame, likely mahogany or walnut.

The chairs retain their decorative pierced splats beneath the arms, scroll-ended arm supports, and shapely cabriole-style front legs, all indicative of quality craftsmanship. They are upholstered in a light cream floral damask fabric, giving a classic and refined appearance suitable for a traditional interior.

With deep, well-proportioned seats, these chairs were designed for both comfort and visual impact, making them ideal as drawing-room, bedroom, or occasional chairs.

Condition:

Structurally sound with age-related wear consistent with period use. Upholstery appears later but sympathetic to the style. Suitable for immediate use or further enhancement through reupholstery if desired.

Ideal for:

Period homes, classic interiors, boutique hotels, or as elegant statement pieces.
